At the 1st conference on “Provision of Evidence-based Physiotherapy through Multidisciplinary Healthcare in Bangladesh,” a consensus was presented by Professor Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain, President of Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association (BPA), a member of World Physiotherapy and Bangladesh Rehabilitation Council. Dr. Anwar is a Professor at the Department of Physiotherapy at Bangladesh Health Professions Institute (BHPI), and Senior Consultant & Head of Physiotherapy Department at Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP). Kazi Md. Amran Hossain, lecturer at the Department of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation and Treasurer, Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association (BPA), joined him in the presentation. This consensus has been made by 30 cross-specialists from 8 countries, consisting of physicians, rehabilitation medicine, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Speech & language therapists, health policy makers, regulatory body members, and rehabilitation stakeholders. The objective was to set up standard recommendations to enhance multidisciplinary rehabilitation in the healthcare system in Bangladesh.
