IRB

Jashore University of Science & Technology (JUST) 23 June, 2025

Bachelor's and Master’s programs at the Department of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation at JUST have a 10-credit thesis program facilitating human trials in Physiotherapy, health sciences, and rehabilitation. To obtain IRB, students present their thesis protocol under the supervision of a faculty member, and following IRB approval, they take trial registration from any primary trial registry sites approved by the World Health Organization. The students can only start data collection or a human trial after prospectively obtaining trial registration. To facilitate the sophisticated time-bound research activities and maintain the standard of the requirements of the declaration of the Helsinki and The International Council for Harmonization recommendations for good clinical practice (ICH-GCP), Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC) requirements, and guidelines, the Institutional review board (IRB) of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation established on March 27, 2024 and was approved by the departmental academic committee meeting resolution.
