We congratulate the former Chairman and Assistant Professor of our department, Dr. Md. Feroz Kabir, for the achievement of the degree of “Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Science” from Universiti Malaysia Sabah. His thesis title was “Development and Evaluation of Physiotherapy Module in the Rehabilitation of Patients with Long COVID-19 in Bangladesh: Randomized Controlled Trial”. During his doctoral journey, he published six papers, three conference proceedings, and another paper is under review process of an indexed journal.

As per the official social media of UMS, Dr. Feroz was awarded the Ph.D. on 17th June, 2025 under the supervision of Associate Professor (Rehabilitation Medicine) Dr. Khin Nyein Yin and co-supervised by Professor (Medicine) Dr. Mohammad Saffree Jeffree, and Associate Professor (Rehabilitation Medicine) Dr. Fatimah Ahmedy.
